Diablo 4 Season 8 Introduces Reliquary System to Replace Battle Pass

Blizzard has introduced a major overhaul to the seasonal progression in Diablo 4 Season 8 by replacing the traditional battle pass with a new system called the Reliquary. This new feature is designed to offer more flexibility and thematic choices, diablo 4 buy gold addressing criticism of the previous pass structure.

The Reliquary system includes four paths: a free Belial-themed path and three premium paths focused on weapons (200 Platinum), beasts (500 Platinum), and armor (800 Platinum). This a la carte approach allows players to invest only in what interests them most.

However, this new flexibility comes at a cost. Previously, all premium rewards were bundled into one 1,000 Platinum battle pass. Now, unlocking all three Reliquaries separately costs 1,500 Platinum, meaning players who want everything must pay more.

Another significant change is the introduction of a new currency: Favor Tokens. Instead of earning XP to progress through a linear pass, players must now complete seasonal objectives to collect Favor and manually unlock rewards within their chosen Reliquary.

This added complexity has received mixed reactions. While some appreciate the added engagement, others find the system unnecessarily convoluted, especially casual players who prefer a simpler progression experience.

Overall, the Reliquary system in Diablo 4 Season 8 offers more control and theme-driven content, but Diablo 4 Items its higher cost and increased complexity may limit its appeal to the broader player base.
