Diablo 4 Update 2.2.1: Major Class Buffs and Season 8 Enhancements
The Diablo 4 May 14 update, patch 2.2.1, brings a wave of impactful class buffs and balance improvements. Each playable class sees notable upgrades, making gameplay more dynamic and rewarding. From Spiritborn to Diablo 4 Boosting Sorcerer, changes were designed to address weaknesses and amplify strengths.
Spiritborn receives major boosts with The Protector’s damage rising from 80% to 140% and its barrier increasing up to 30% of max life. Core passives also benefit from higher core stat gains and better healing mechanics, making this class more viable in endgame content.
The Barbarian enjoys item and skill adjustments, most notably to Ghor’s Devastating Grips, which now scales off DPS. Twin Strikes and Dire Whirlwind have received direct buffs to damage and critical strike synergy, enhancing the Barbarian’s offensive capabilities.
Druid’s improvements focus on the Human form. Gathlen’s Birthright now requires fewer critical hits to activate, and movement speed has increased. Additionally, passives now reduce damage intake and increase crit damage, making Human form a viable alternative to shapeshifting.
Necromancer sees an overhaul in summoning power. Skeletal Priest damage was increased from 30% to 50%, and Sanguivor’s item bonus saw a massive increase to 400% summon damage, making summon builds far more potent for progression.
For the Rogue, Poison Trap now delivers higher damage, and item support like the Band of Ichorous Rose enhances trap utility. These changes make trap-based builds more appealing in PvE and PvP scenarios alike.
With Season 8: Belial’s Return, diablo 4 buy gold new content such as Oath Scrolls adds progression depth. Alongside gameplay updates and bug fixes, patch 2.2.1 significantly improves Diablo 4’s quality and balance for all types of players.
